Most of Maria Agni’s work begins with a photographic image captured by her in situ or in the studio environment. She adjusts and assembles the image digitally using Photoshop but a large proportion of her work is carried out physically using scissors, copiers, printers, acrylic paint and found objects.

Most of the time Maria Agni uses a Cannon EOS 2000D Rebel T7 DSLR camera with a 18-135mm lens. She also uses pinhole cameras, and Polaroid, as well as an ordinary phone camera.
